On the 17th floor of the Hyatt Regency, in the Foothills Ballroom, it’s possible to spot the Speakeasy club between 4th and 5th streets. This view is looking roughly north north-west and Speakeasy is on the left side of this picture, highlighted in bright red.

The camera’s lens was set to wide-angle to capture the cityscape. In reality, the Hyatt and Speakeasy are closer to each other than this picture suggests. If I had been thinking at last Thursday’s reunion planning meeting, I’d have photographed a view of the Hyatt Regency from the Speakeasy terrace!

Of course, this view is as the crow flies. It's actually a decent walk to get to the south end of the Congress Avenue Bridge and then walk north to Speakeasy.
